Charge Inspire Batteries with RC Charger

Normally you would want to discharge down to storage level which is 3.85v x 6 for the I1 which is 23.1 volts, can you force the charger on the PB program to go down to 23.1 volts and stop? If yes, then you can, if not then don't.

Charge Inspire Batteries with RC Charger

Well, or you can just get a 200 - 300 Watt 12V DC --> 230V AC inverter and use it in your car with the standard DJI AC charger, I charge the I1 and P3 batteries this way without issues whatsoever. The only drawback to this is efficiency, i.e. with an inverter you drain a slight bit more your car...

Charge Inspire Batteries with RC Charger

yes exactly, you can safely charge using the lipo program. the only inconvenience is that an RC charger charges up to 4.2 volts/cell while DJI's charger charges up to 4.35 volts/cell so when charge terminates on an RC charger, the battery will read 92-93% full on the DJI GO app. When I am in a...

Charge Inspire Batteries with RC Charger

NO! It is not just any power source! It is a CC-CV power source, google it. Anyways you need to have some background in electronics to get it. If you dont, don't go that route, just use the original charger. For example, if you get a normal 26volt 3.8Amp power supply and the battery is empty...

Charge Inspire Batteries with RC Charger

Guys, be very careful, all what you are stating here is incorrect and you are going to toast/damage your batteries if you go that route. Yes the DJI battery is smart, it has an electronic circuit that monitors each cell and balances the cell voltages. In addition it stores the number of cycles...

Thinking of upgrading from Phantom Any thoughts?

Look, I am a greedy person and thus bought both, the P3P and the I1, after playing with both for 2 months now, I mostly find the inspire collecting dust and I love the P3! P3 Pros: - Small, light, easy and practical to carry around in the DJI hardsell backpack! - Takes a minute to setup, just...

Inspire 1 settings were reset to factory default!

Yesterday went to fly my inspire. When I started everything up, I went to check the return home altitude and to my astonishment found it to be 20 meters while I am sure I kept it at 60 meters! Checked other settings, everything was reset, i.e. altitude ceiling was back at 120 meters, automatic...

    TB47/TB48 Deep Cycling

Are you sure it is 100% safe to use an RC charger? I have an icharger 1010B+ I can use. At what rate you discharge ? and what is the min cell voltage you set or do you continue till the battery itself turns itself off? What connector you use to connect it to the charger?

    TB47/TB48 Deep Cycling

Yesterday I decided to discharge my battery. Past 10% the inspire will want to auto-land so I had to keep it by force in the air holding the stick up! I kept going till 0% and after it read 0% it stayed in the air for around 2 minutes!!! I kept it at 15 - 20 cm from the ground then it shutdown...
