The steam is coming from the cooling towers, all they are there for is to cool the water used to condense steam from the turbines, All the smoke from the boilers goes out of the one stack......

Part of the problem now is the ease with which these can be flown, in the dim and distant past flying this sort of gear took a lot of practice and a lot of money, it was in some respects self controlling, now anyone can fly these and they are considerd more "toy like" and of course we will...

Not at all!...... more a view of the whole thread, I'm new here and new to quads full stop..... I'm somewhat surprised though that those who consider it safe to fly one of these things beyond visual range are up in arms when others try to avoid the bad publicity that this action will inevitably...

Although a poor analogy, if you were buy a car and after the first service it'd only do 70mph I guess a lot of people would be miffed, If however you were to buy the same car that would only ever do 70mph that would be a different story?...... I don't think we should complain when we are...

Does this mean I can upgrade to iOS 9 then?.... I was a bit concerned having just got comfortable with DJI GO after upgrading the airframe twice and the controller once and two batteries all in a week?.....;)

Thanks for your replies, I tried the cache again last night, picked an area I haven't used before and then turned off the cache in background switch, while at work this morning with no WIFI I opened the app (without controller) and the map was there?...... somewhat confused now though...

Sorry to dig this one up again and I understand you think it's easy but not for me!.....;) I have a twin controller set-up and the master has cached maps turned on, I've scrolled around the area I intend to fly and when I get to the site and open the app..... no map!.... at all, just greyed out...

Hi Cj, I'm 1hour and 8minutes in and I have to say that I am impressed with how easy and stable this machine is, as long as the kit is happy with your set up and you follow all advice offered here then this a whole new world to remote flying machines!....... After the third flight I was trusting...

I don't think hover would be too good an idea?...... unless at low power it then returned 'home'?.....

Hi Ed, thanks for the welcome, I get the grin thinking about it although I'm struggling a little to find suitable flying areas, I'm currently only happy where there is unlikely to be ANYONE else within sight, I know it's just a confidence thing and that will settle once I've flown a few...
