    Any problems interchanging iPads?

Update to the cloud? Tell me more.

    Camera software in latest firmware?

Which, of course, is odd as a LOG colour profile is by definition a low contrast, low saturation profile to extend dynamic range. Interesting you mentioned -1 sharpness. If found previously -1 sharpness to be completely unusable, let alone -2 or -3. Have they changed the sharpness scale as well?

    Camera software in latest firmware?

Following an upgrade to the latest firmware my Inspire 1 camera performance seems altered. Shooting in Log @ 4k25 the captured image seems far too saturated for a log profile & using the DJI transcoder for conversion to ProRes with the Inspire 1 lut now gives a crushed, overly dense & saturated...

    Any problems interchanging iPads?

Simple question that I suspect is less than straightforward. If you have more than one person that regularly flies an Inspire is it posible for each pilot to have their own personal iPad (or tablet, if you must!) that they use with the controller. Are the settings that are altered by the iPad...

Can't get video correct, need tips

Try transcoding using the DJI Transcoder shareware to covert to ProRes. Much easier for your processor than H.264.mov format the camera spits out.

Are you shooting in LOG color and using DJI transcoder tool?

At some stage or another, unless your final project is in H.264 with just the Inspire footage alone - possible if its for Youtube- computer time will have to be devoted to transcoding. Transcode at the head or transcode at the tail? In my world transcoding is always the first step. Card out of...

Are you shooting in LOG color and using DJI transcoder tool?

InterMurph, in the morning light I'll admit my paraphrasing was a little too harsh, for that I apologise. I see colour grading as part of the editing process. Transcoding before the edit does not help with the colour grade nor does it hinder. Yes ProRes is lossy but as editing is done as a proxy...

Are you shooting in LOG color and using DJI transcoder tool?

How does this apply to the Inspire? H.264 is a format common to lower end cameras, highly compressed for capture but not intended as an editing codec and is inefficient in that environment. Spending plenty of time shooting with DSLR based kits teaches that lesson real fast, irrespective of FCP...

Are you shooting in LOG color and using DJI transcoder tool?

No worries about sounding argumentative, this is an interesting subject. Bit of background info, without trying to sound like I'm swinging it. Been a professional cameraman all my working life & learnt to edit using film on a Steenbeck. My edit equipment is up to date & its far from appropriate...

Are you shooting in LOG color and using DJI transcoder tool?

Not so fast. Two things to consider before skipping the transcoder. Firstly even though the ProRes files that result from transcoding the Inspire H.264.mov camera originals are considerably larger for no gain in picture quality they are a lot less processor intensive in FCP NLE edit systems...
