X5R ProRes SD Footage vs SSD RAW

The 1080 should be avoided on the camera at this stage unless they improve it. it's night and day to 4K and does show the purple you mentioned. 4K RAW exporting via Cinema DNG is the way to go. I've been blown away by the quality and the detail retained verses the h264 stream of the same clip...

Please compare X5R MicroSD H264 recording to X5

But one trick I learnt the hard way is you can't record to the SSD without a micro SD inserted :)

Sounds similar to your experience with your black magic and RAW, it is great having the data there :) I do have Davinci resolve also and it is a great package. I actually use it for its render engine if I want to deliver pro res to a client quickly as it powers through the render. Awesome Colour...

X5R - Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Just one note, I'm still so impressed with the ability to recover detail from shadows and highlights in the DNGs in camera raw with the X5R. It's like a blank canvas when you start :)

Thanks Chern :) I used Aftereffects camera Raw for the major piece of the grading, then tweeked some final settings in the lumetri Colour panel in premerie pro. It is a slower workflow, but I'm just blown away by the fine control I get using camera raw with the X5R DNG's. I flick back and...

Rewatched that clip, there was a green laser show on at the time flickering in the sky also, it looks like green bands across the sky?

X5R - Marina Bay Sands Singapore

I probably put a bit too much information up, but in short, I checked in detail and tried to follow every rule/law for the flight :)

X5R - Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Not commercial, here are the rules, none broken, not even the night bit (night flying was checked directly with CAAS before leaving and have the correspondence, as I was confirming my interptretation of "good visibility" and VLOS and if this included LEDs). They also said to check the...

I was a little off on my first clip as I was walking through the water with the X5R/OSMO so was concerntrating on not slipping over :) slightly off on focus and settings.

X5R - Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Good question, commercially, yes or for over 7kg. Not for the flight I did as non commercial and the area I flew. There are a lot of restrictions over there to be aware of, but they are really friendly if you follow the rules. Their are only limited areas on Singspore that you could actually...

Hi Guys, Thought I'd share this, just a quick clip from a recent trip to Singapore. OSMO and Inspire RAW. First go at night filming with the X5R :) had to rush out the flights
