As new (i.e. never used for flight) TB47 plus 180w fast charger

IF anyone is planning a holiday trip - to the Yorkshire Dales - I have a nearly new (never flown) TB47 purchased on April 30th from EpicTV's store in France. I also have an upgraded 180w charger purchased from same website (read my 'intro' thread if you want to know more about why for sale!!)...

This high flyer is a little over the hill...

After much procrastination I decided to buy a new Phantom 3 Professional. I guess getting a refund for my faulty Inspire 1 - due to lack of stock - gave me an opportunity to rethink my plans. Never having flown a drone before I feel I will be much happier learning to fly a drone which costs...

Well, Ed, you're the expert so maybe I will go for an old fashioned balloon and basket ;-)

This high flyer is a little over the hill...

Well my life with my Inspire 1 was short-lived! Having returned my unit - due to faulty zip on case - I contacted the Vodafonestore store on Friday to ask when I could expect my replacement. I was told that they had no units currently in stock. So, I requested a refund...which they promptly...

    Guess they are certified then???

It is a serious subject. And an idiotic thing to do! However, every year around 2,500 people are killed on uk roads - many by 'idiot drivers'. These are drivers who know the law yet choose to break it. I hope no drone owners, on this website, speed in built-up areas or text/talk on their mobile...

    Calibrating table

As a keen fell walker - living in the UK - I would add that it's not just obvious magnetic/ferrous sources that can affect a compass. Some rocks also affect compass settings. For instance: Cullins of Skye; Hecla on South Uist; Ben More on Mull the Torridon area and Ore Gap in the Lake District...

Thanks for the insight into the future, Brian, I'm sure given the speed new technology is being introduced you won't be far off with your predictions!

DJi Inspire 1 Case - Zipper

The online UK retailer, Vodafonestore, I purchased from couldn't find a replacement case...so its requested I send the whole drone kit back to 'them' for replacement. I'm a great believer in consumer rights - so the unit was collected yesterday and I'm awaiting a replacement. I was asked to...

Drone shipped with battery in it

An 'exemplary' forum thread in my opinion: i.e. A member has a problem and forum members rally round to provide sound practical advice. And, just as important in my opinion, the original poster ensures the forum is kept up-to-date with the developing situation - and informs the forum of the...

    IMU Help

Very useful info thanks! I thought I'd like to know a little more about IMUs so I read this: Inertial measurement unit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia OK now I understand the importance of checking values... ONLY trouble is my brain hurts after reading all the info. :)

    gps altitudes adjustment

I've tended to rely on taking a barometric reading - to check height (and thus determine my position) in relation to map contour when ski-touring in a featureless area. Although this is a more accurate measurement of altitude - compared to GPS - you need to regularly calibrate such barometers...

This high flyer is a little over the hill...

Well, my case zip broke - and I haven't even flown my drone yet! Contacted Vodafonestore and they said they'd source a replacement. Was impressed...but now asked to send drone and case back for replacement - as the shop can't just get a case...looks like I won't be flying for some time :(

    Battery Advise

Huh, sounds a bit like Talk Talk Call Centre (UK telephone service provider) Ward. Every time we have a problem with our broadband I remove the phone socket cover plate and connect our kit directly to the second socket (used by telecom technicians). I then have to wait whilst the call centre...

A backpack that will fit the inspire and LOTS more

Thanks, Alexander, for posting this. I'd never heard of the ALICE frame...but found they are on sale at Army Surplus stores in the UK. I've also purchased the clip on shelf unit as I thought it might help stop the case from moving around whilst travelling over rough ground... Couldn't quite see...
