I think $500 is fair considering what I see on Ebay for used complete working systems.

Just the body. No camera. No batteries. No motors or props. No RC. Broken arms are OK but need the antennas, electronics and the gimbal plate intact. Anybody got a sad pile of an Inspire? I'm in upstate NY. Thanks.

I've had good luck checking the standard issue DJI I1 case as carry-on. Fits fine in the overhead bin. You can't legally (with restrictions) put the batteries under the plane anyway. Safe travels and love the forum. So much good info.

Not so fast. It doesn't sound like your conclusion is based on experience, sorry. Both Garmin GPS receivers on my Beech Sundowner are labeled "DO NOT PAINT" and that practice is specifically prohibited in the technical manual. Be careful.
