I took a late September trip down to the West Elk Mountains of Colorado. I revisited some of my favorite stomping grounds from when I was in college, only this time I could photograph them from above.

I had a good line of sight, with the Inspire out about 1500-2000 meters.

Another variable to the equation that I had not yet considered is how much more battery power is consumed by the gimbal to stabilize the heftier payload of the X5.

They must have got a bunch of Quad Copters to carry the gear up for them.

I filmed in 4K but then rendered at 1080P for YouTube. The Iron Range of MN has some of the oldest rocks on the planet at over 4 billion years, it should be exciting, and I look forward to seeing your video.

There is a lot of talk and specs about the new X5, and I am excited about it, but... The X5 is a greater payload than the original Inspire Camera, and The X5 is obviously less aerodynamic than the Original Camera So does anyone know how long a Inspire One will fly with an X5...

Yours survived a couple of rain falls, I was very worried about a thunderstorm cropping up during the 8 hours that the inspire was out of my possession.
