I have used my 'toy' over the inspire on may occasions. Over the sea I'm much happier with a cheaper investment :-) I can also travel with the 'toy' very easily, just today it sat next to me on a flight. For me it makes more outings than the inspire. I tend to use the 'toy' to do my first film...

They will be more impressed with the footage than the quad!. Id say wait for the next inspire which hopefully will have a pilot camera, grater range, greater duration. Id live it to take two of the existing batteries but that wont happen since DJI force us to buy new ones of they change the shape.

Lots of chat on here about users and their behavior. Legislation wont stop bad behavior else none of us would speed and i'm sure most of us have (or is it just me!!!). Idiots with money will buy an Inspire - Look at the fake Georgian pillars outside their houses to realize that money does not...

Obviiously you may be right but its certainly the way to go. it seemed to work in the trees. i hesr what you say and as i recall the firdt iphone demo by jobs didnt actually work and it was a carefully scripted demo that made it appear better than it was. That said, if it works as they showed...

Now that's truly impressive. Also, what's it following? Not a great big bulky controller that's for sure. Would really like this facility in the next inspire hopefully to follow a phone App. Add to that collision avoidance and a second basic camera for the pilot when using a second operator.

Ive decided for a number of reasons to get the 27" imac i7 16Gb Ram2TB Fusion drive and run Final Cut. All this goes to show is that I ask for advice and completely ignore it :)

The problem with being in Australia is that's its been the 1st March for ages and still no announcement from DJI today grrrrr

i use the phantom3 for poi stuff around the inspire with the subject matter in view. Pointless but he clients love it the vids. i also do my first preview with the phantom just to work out what im goimg to shoot

or..... Should you wait for the next Inspire which will hopefully have an independant pilot camera....now thats what i want out the box :-)

Im flying the advanced. Will take a look when I fly later at the channel list. Had a issue finding enough satellites too today although I'm happy flying in ATTI mode having come from RC Helis, the Phantom is very easy to fly - its not on constant self destruct mode like the helis. :)

Welcome Richie, Im up in Brisbane if you want to meet up some time. I only have my Phantom here as Im based in NZ but work here on a 2 weeks Brisbane 2 weeks Wellington basis. I might bring the Phantom down later today for a quick fly. Ive been flying up and down the river in the evenings :)
