Zenmuse Z3 does it work on Inspire 1 V1?

Geez. Of course this is correct. Got my Zs and Xs confused -- the weird "Zenmuse" thing doesn't help, but that's just an excuse.

Zenmuse Z3 does it work on Inspire 1 V1?

Works on the I1 -- it was the original camera that came with the I1, with the smaller vibration plate.

    C A-F on X5

I'm legit curious here. I'm a landscape still photographer, so I don't use the camera for other things, so my perspective is a bit narrow. What are you shooting where you actually get this not-everything-in-focus effect? Are you getting very close to your subject, or using a much longer lens...

    C A-F on X5

Buzzcam, not sure what lens you're shooting or how far away your subjects are, so this may not be relevant, but maybe it doesn't matter ...? If you're using the DJI 15mm lens, even shooting at f/1.7, you can calibrate it so that everything from about 9m/30ft away to infinity is in focus and you...

Terrible Bent Horizon on New Inspire 1 Pro X5 DJI Lens

Sorry, right -- I guess I was responding to the OP (who is "Forrest Dein" and not you) and I confused your problems. He was having trouble with the DJI 15mm. Others offered advice to him as well but he never commented again after his original post.

Please help me understaning where i am wrong

The post that talks about calibration is a very good one: Detailed guide on X5 "lens calibration" But it gets taken as authoritative on everything it says, and it's wrong about one somewhat important thing. The subject does NOT have to be 50m away. In fact, it should ideally be 9m away (and...

Terrible Bent Horizon on New Inspire 1 Pro X5 DJI Lens

Hi-Fly, I'm a still photographer who uses the X5 and the DJI lens, and for me Lightroom seems to be doing the auto-correction with no problem. (LR tells me that the profile is built into the image or something to that effect, and the check box for "Enable profile corrections" is grayed out.)...

Upgrade Firmware or leave well enough alone?

For the sake of accuracy, note that the compass is also independent of GPS. You don't need GPS to calibrate it. However, because it's a magnetic compass, it is sensitive to magnetic things and metal, so you should do this away from those things. Outdoors is a good idea for that reason. But...

Upgrade Firmware or leave well enough alone?

IMU is independent of GPS. The IMU is all about accelerometers, which know about acceleration (obviously) and measure tilt angles relative to the horizon (or the earth's center of gravity if you want to get more pedantic). Level and vibration-free are important for establishing the baseline for...

Whats props you using and why.

Hmm. If DJI made products that wouldn't break, fail, and fall out of the sky we absolutely could not afford them.

Suggestions for a good screw on polarized x3 filter

I could not agree more! As a still photographer who does a lot of landscapes, I love what a polarizer does (and I love me a circular polarizer -- so we don't agree there!). But it takes constant adjustment -- that is, rotation -- of the filter as I recompose my shots, and as the sun moves (it's...

Which type of props do you used when your prop flew off ?

Probably not that many as a percentage of the total users on here. The poll might be slightly more meaningful if it had another option: "I've never had a prop fly off."

    Lost a propeller and crashed

Man, I'm glad you said this. Many of the black threaded props made me uncomfortable because of exactly this. When mounting them, 4 of the 6 props that I purchased with the I1 (all black ones), never really felt like they would ever stop tightening, and I didn't want to strip them. The resistance...

    Avoid FLY Away tip

fdk, yes -- you're right that those references are about performance, and yeah, you're not really worried about that here. And further, you're right that sometimes iOS hangs (and this, based entirely on my unscientific and anecdotal evidence, happens more often today than it did many iOS...

    Avoid FLY Away tip

For iOS, it's a misconception that doing this -- closing "background" apps in this manner -- is worthwhile. They're not actually running at all. (There ARE apps that run in the background, especially some Apple-provided ones, but you can't stop those using the method described.) For reference...
