1.6 YAFU (Yet Another Firmware Update)

It sounds like that is indeed my best course of action. I was hoping they'd update the GO App, though - mine still occasionally says that my camera needs an update even though it shows the current firmware version in the app. Everything is functioning fine, though.

1.6 YAFU (Yet Another Firmware Update)

Well of course, but I don't mind knowing that my battery will drain more quickly when fighting high winds - that's just physics. I am worried about DJI changing the intelligence of the flight controller to reduce power in certain situations. That freaks me out.

1.6 YAFU (Yet Another Firmware Update)

Does this only go for flying in areas with high winds and lower temps? Surely so. I fly in Florida so the temps will rarely be an issue - trying to decide whether to update or not and the wind issue has me concerned.

1.6 YAFU (Yet Another Firmware Update)

Technically, it should be formatted exFAT32. I wouldn't recommend forwarding the SD card outside of the Inspire if you don't have to. -Format SD card with the Inspire -Remove SD card and insert into PC/Mac -Copy BIN file from extracted ZIP file of required firmware to the root of the SD card...

I hear you on that one. Orlando will be around 84 or so.

Self-Discharge Threshold - How long is too long?

Yes, it will charge to 100% - mine are fully charged to around 4.30-4.32v/cell each time I use it. Mine didn't need a firmware update so that's a relief. To my knowledge, they haven't released an update on these since September. When you say "calibrate" your batteries, what do you mean?

Self-Discharge Threshold - How long is too long?

Glad you were able to at least run them and put them through their paces. After draining them, following the charge from 5%, did you keep them at storage voltage or charge them back up? If it were me and I had easy access to a place where I could fly, I'd probably do that 2-3 more times just to...

Self-Discharge Threshold - How long is too long?

Sounds like you just need to exercise the batteries a little. Check and see what the Inspire is reading as each battery's "health". It's under the battery menu and will be displayed in the lower-right pane. It's a percentage with 100% being brand new. It will also tell you how many times they've...

Self-Discharge Threshold - How long is too long?

Interesting. I was under the impression the batteries would fully charge before shutting off given that it's balancing each individual cell. I'll have to check and see what the voltages are this morning when I get out to the job site - I "fully" charged them all yesterday using the charging hub...

Self-Discharge Threshold - How long is too long?

Thanks for the response and feedback. Seems like I was right in wanting to reduce it, but now that I think about it and read your post (as well as John's), it does seem lowering it to around 2 days is best. Thanks again. Thanks very much for the response! Interesting on the 95% and then the...

Self-Discharge Threshold - How long is too long?

What do you guys have your self-discharge threshold set at? I have mine at 10 days now, but worry that's too long. Thinking of dropping it to five days or seven days. What do you currently have yours set to and why? Cheers.

Self-Discharge Process - How Long & How to Stop It?

Understood. That's what I meant. I appreciate the quick responses.

    DJI Inspire Pro X5 - Olympus 45mm & 25mm Comparison Video

Great info. I need to try it with manual focus, then. Sometimes it's tough for me to check the focus because even though Lightbridge does deliver a high quality signal, it's often times not clear enough for me to really gauge how clear the image on the card will be. Just comes with more...

Self-Discharge Process - How Long & How to Stop It?

Thanks for the information. So it's just a single press of the battery button that stops the process? The only reason I wanted them to discharge themselves is I prefer to not charge from anything over 60-70%. I prefer LiPos to get exercise before I put more voltage into them. Just one of my...

Self-Discharge Process - How Long & How to Stop It?

Thanks for the quick reply! So just a single press of the button as if I am checking the charge on it will stop the process? Or do I have to do a power-on of the battery itself? I hope it's not just a single press. I was kind of liking the idea of them discharging themselves and I've already...
