I doubt that DJI will update this, as it would compete with their own X5R.

Look at the rendition of rocks and foliage on the Phantom 3 Pro, looks so good in 4K, I'd say on par or better than some of the X5 cuts out there.

I agree, on paper the X5 looks excellent, like a GH4 with a built in gimbal, and in theory it should behave as one. It's why I believe it has been deliberately crippled in order to make the X5R shine.

I think the Phantom 3 Pro is a steal compared to the Inspire Pro.

Nono, its a gassy VR6 ;). The similarities between the X5 and the GH4 chip are many, and nodoubt DJI could get more out of it. As they probably do in the "R" version. Considering the price, I don't think the X5 (on the clips I have seen until now) is worth the upgrade.

Currently the X5 is $430 more than the GH4 here in Norway. Add the difference to a Zenmuse for the GH4 and a S900 setup is not that much more expensive. And that is if you didn't already own a GH4...

Sorry, I am driving a Golf ;) I'm comparing it to the GH4 the other 16mp mft camera. And my primary use for it, would be stills.

Two new ones from Mr. Schumacher I still think the details look smudgy and smeared..

To my eyes it looks as if DJI has crippled the camera, perhaps to let the raw version shine more. A 16mp mft in 2015 camera in this pricerange should be able to preform better than this. Shame on you DJI if you did this on purpose. Perhaps it could be fixed if they fitted the camera with a...

Thank you very much for posting! ISOvise they look not bad, I am however a little worried about the softness in all the pictures, even at the loves iso. Did you focus on the cat? If yes, there seems to be a back-focus issue, and it seems the focus plane is in the fireplace. And at what aperture...
