My Inspire Pro has never been "rock solid" in the air, but I I think that's a very subjetive term that depends on the user's standards, experience and expectations.

The "Visual Positioning System" uses imaging from the bottom camera to compensate for horizontal drift as well as the ultrasonic sensors that help with the vertical drift. Mostly useful indoors where distances are short and GPS reception could be erratic. Maximum usable height is 5m (16.4 ft).

Dji assistant and Inspire 1 don't mix well...

I have never seen this oscillation in mine. And of course DJI test their stuff, but you can't expect them to test fly each system shipped! It seems something is not right in yours, but I don't know what. Have you tried changing the rubber dampers? Maybe one is faulty.
