Hi James I had a problem like yours on my X5 , in like new condition , very little use , ended up sending it back to DJI . The X5 they returned to me definitely was not mine nor was the case .Very disappointing ! So if you go that route be prepared to get replacement returned and not the one...

I do not get the pop up windows for typing in password of the master . I get a message on the slave saying the current controler has gimbal control but it will not do what it is supposed to do , we will try your suggestions Thanks Chuck

You may have to send camera in for a repair. if you go with dji you won't be getting your original camera back , they swap it out with a like model. find a private repair shop your better off.

What you send them and what they return to you are two different things . there running a trade in program they pulled the same BS on a camera I sent them.

I had this happen to my x 5 this Spring , i sent it to DJI repair center in LA , the camera was hardly used I got a quote saying I needed a new main board , Fine I sent the money in and though I was getting My camera fixed , Wrong ! What they do is send you the next camera ready to go out...

Is there a good independent authorized repair service in the US other then DJI in LA that anyone could recommend ?. Thanks Chuck

Hi I live at 8000' ft. and fly with the i1 & i1 pro, the 1360 hi alt. props are a must at this elevation. the X3 well do a lot better for you then the X5 simply because of the extra weight of the X5. Chuck
