The zoom function works on the pancake model of that lens.

I had a problem with mine once, about a year ago, after a firmware update. I took mine out of auto landing gear mode and started using the toggle on the remote, which still worked fine. Both modes started working again after the next fw update.

Since mine goes up and down as it should by toggling the lever on the RC, I'm thinking mine is a software issue and not a hardware issue.

My I2 just presented the same problem. Landing gear wouldn't 'auto raise' upon takeoff and wouldn't enter travel mode by toggling the lever on the rc. I was able to fix (work around) the issue by entering the advanced settings in the main controller menu and disabling 'Automatic Landing Gear'...

That was my thought as well. I will write them back for some clarification. And I have already done the registration thing and sent in my $5 previously for my P4. I have since acquired a Mavic and now an I2. It is my understanding that my one registration number covered all aircraft I might buy...

That was my understanding as well, but not sure the FAA sees it the same way. Notice the bold type in the upper left of this letter.

Previous owner had registered it and in order to get his name removed from this drone filled out some paperwork with the FAA to accomplish that. My point is that the FAA is still telling the public the it is illegal to fly an unregistered uas. Hobby uas are considered to be less than 55 lbs.
