I can confirm that falcons will occasionally take down small drones. Also, best to avoid interacting with raptors as many are considered migratory birds and have federal protection.

The dirty birds are flying over So Cal so frequently, I can see why he wouldn't even think of it. They aren't Hueys, so they're actually kind of quiet. Probably flying way out of line of sight.

As someone who routinely has to go through grueling hours and days of paperwork to apply for the permits to fly in restricted areas, I think this is wonderful.
