Thanks Robert Godwin, I'm a systems engineering director by trade. I have my trade study spreadsheets well populated. It's just the timing of the Phantom 3 has caused me to pause and re-evaluate. Sigh, I'd rather be flying :) My main requirement is a stable platform so hence the hesitation...

Well, now I'm flummoxed. Do I change my purchase plans to a Phantom 3 that has ~90% of the technology I was looking for or do I wait and see if the price drops for the inspire that has the technology I want in a far more stable platform. what to do, what to do. cheers, lesn8r

thanks, I understand the math, I thought the specs were apples and oranges when I read them as well. I'm curious why DJI support would tell me otherwise. Guess I'll find out for myself when I get my V3. DJI support also said a case was not included. Thank you for the link.

I was told it was NOT the same size as the Phantom 2 from DJI user support. I was told the batteries were NOT interchangeable, Phantom 3 being 4 cell. Batteries and props would be available in mid- May. If that is mis-information, it is not from me.

it's already on amazon with a May 15 date. I just chatted with DJI and mid May is about when batteries and props will be available. Hmm, guess it's good I did not yet pull the trigger on my new Inspire (almost did last night), also note, it is not the same dimensions as the Phantom 2, 2+ so...

yeah, here in New Hampshire, black flys and mosquitoes can really throw a heli off kilter. I normally fly single rotor and I have to clean the blades after every session. (Windex and paper towels work real well) Cheers, Lesn8r

Hi all, I'm anticipating purchasing an Inspire 1 in the next few weeks. What accessories are a "must have", what accessories a a "nice to have" ? I'm assuming a must have would be at least an extra battery. I'm not certain about the "nice to have" I would appreciate your inputs! thanks, Lesn8r
