If you want to torque them you need a Torque Driver (not a wrench). I have the WIHA Variable Torque driver I bought some time ago from Amazon. Then I set it for .75nm for the prop locks. Its a great tool, but not cheap. Most people probably don't torque things. I do if I know the correct specs...

There are more than a few "minor design differences" between the I2 and the I1. Most importantly are the various redundancies built into the I2. Carrying the expensive camera gear in flight makes this a very important benefit and, in my opinion, justifies the cost of the I2.

Thanks for your response. That is an option that I thought about also. My preference would be to not to tear down the running Inspire unless I have to. I just cannot believe there is no simple way to test out these components.
