What should I charge for mapping?

we used an eBee without RTK. I’ve personally used Inspire 2 and Phantoms as well no RTK. I left before they adopted lidar for classification and accuracy purposes. But I’ve worked with lidar. And yes bare meaning no shrubs or trees or tall grass. You can produce 2’ contours if you have decent...

What should I charge for mapping?

So many variables in this question but here is a general thought: Having worked in a survey company I can tell you we would have charged $1200 per day to survey with traditional ground station. When I managed the drone department, we had to internally charge that same amount. We set the GCP’s...

    Battery Update

I updated to .0300 yesterday and flew a test flight without problems. I changed to a freshly charge set of batteries and was prompted with a “bad cell” warning. I checked all my batteries before upgrading and had no issues. Should have time today to diagnose. I know these batts should be good...

Critical PSA DJI Advises Customers To Fly With Caution When Using TB50 And TB55 Batteries In Drones

Our standard practice is to only fly fully charged batteries. I never fly with a battery that has less than full charge to start and always always always charge battery to full if it has sat more than 2 days regardless of charge state shown on battery.

    FCPX users!

I have an Inspire 2 and use the standard X4S normally and typically record in 2.7k 60fps cinema-D. I use FCPX on a 2013 iMac 32GB i7 3.5MHz. It works very well! I also have a 2016 MacBook Pro to do some editing and it works better, but smaller screen space. I do recommend. Good luck.

Flying inside building construction with structural steel

Any time I can use VPS I will because (I believe) it overrides the GPS mode... (Anyone? Anyone?) For example, if you are flying over a moving body of water, it will tend to drift with the water instead of stay stable with the GPS. Again, just my observation. I turn off VPS when over water. You...

Flying inside building construction with structural steel

I have flown inside large steel structures. Partly metal roof covered and partly just steel beams overhead as well. My experience is with Mavic, Inspire 2, and Phantom 4 Pro inside structures. I have a few observations (just from my experience): -Inside covered buildings/structures I have...

Who here has a perfectly operating Inspire 2 after the latest updates ?

I bought the newer just "iPad" Wifi-Cellular and have had no issues since then. Prior to that I had an iPad mini 2 +Cell and it worked great till "the update" that outdated it. I think it is well established that it is the iPads which are quickly becoming out-dated because of the software...

US Open (Golf) this week at Erin Hills! - Drone flyovers

I find myself shouting out when watching TV.."Drone shot!" I think my wife is sick of hearing it. :). I think you guys did a great job! But I did notice that what is shown on TV was almost double speed which makes ANY drone footage jerky. Why did they do that to you? Did they suggest a...
