Only with external recorder as the sony A7serie2. It proves that manufacturers are not fan for too big raw-files "for video", but they do "for photo" internally. Unless you have a big movie project, raw video can be considered, but that will not be 1/1000 users here. You have perfect video with...

They surely need to renew their S-serie. ! They will do when all have bought the X5r, that is DJI-strategy ! That is my opinion. With DJI, you never stop buying.

In all situation: X5R has too short flight times and too big Raw-files for video. X5r is a very good solution for photographers, but the Tornado with the GH4 has RAW photo too and you have no stress to get your picture with right focus (seems to be a serious problem with the X5), exposure, etc...

It delivers raw, but too big to handle and too short fly time. 4k-footage must be ultra sharp, so spending time for the right focus you have not. Most X3 footage are more crispy as the X5.

Just to explain that raw video is crazy, indeed you need array. Raw is perfect for photo. But the need of good detailed footage is possible with the right compression, ProresHQ on a 10 bit file, what the X5r do not deliver ... for the moment. To set up your camera before the shot, it takes some...

What Damon and I find out made my conclusions: For video: we need the very good Prores422HQ, nobody will see the difference with raw and with acceptable file size. Secondly comfortable flying time what means for me minimum 30 minutes what results in 20 minutes for safety to take the right shot...

Wow, where to find the mod, is it safe ? A 30 minutes with the X3 will be a 20 minutes with the X5raw ? The main reason to look for the H920 (30 minutes with 3 batteries) and its security of 6 motors and acceptable footage at 10 Mbps. I think RAW will be too big to handle. Often I shoot a 40...

Thanks Damon ! If they can give a net-flight time of 20 minutes, I am buyer. Actually 10 minutes is really too short for setting up all parameters, focus, exposure, waypoints ..... How many minutes raw video on a 512 Gb SSD ? Strange that your information is not mentioned on the official...
