Afraid not from me - it's an infrequent event.

Likewise - every new location requires compass calibration. I am only flying in remote regions, well away from any human created interference. Didn't used to occur - software glitch that should have been rectified months ago.

Having flown the I2 with X7 for 18 months or so this happened yesterday for the first time. Looking through the archives I see that it has happened to others, but i don't see a resolution except that DJI said they would fix the bug in an update last year. I am flying with the current firmware...

For distortion-free stitching the best lens will be a long lens. The 50mm on the X7 (equivalent to a 75mm on a dslr) is fantastic. Multi row panos with the camera well back from the subject and PTGui or similar work very well. Lining up the shots can be done by eye, allowing about 1/3 image...

Many thanks for all suggestions. Will check sliders and calibrate IMU. It may also be an issue related to wind - here in a windy autumn the I2 has flown erratically on take-off in the last 2 weeks again, almost as if it takes a few moments to work out which way to lean!

Yes, was using Cendence, but I don't think that was the problem. There was absolutely no lateral motion in any direction possible, even downwind. Will do some more (cautious) flying over the next week to see if this recurs.

No. Effectively what happened it that the motors lost the capacity to rotate differentially. The drone wouldn't turn around or do anything but drift because all blades were stuck at spinning at the same speed.

No - didn't have the presence of mind! That suggestion implies that the GPS signal was lost?? But RTH worked..

Any ideas why this rather terrifying incident may have occurred? Flying the I2 for the second time this morning (on battery #3), when at take-off all lateral control was lost. I could rise and lower it, but under a strong offshore wind it was picking up speed and heading steadily out to sea...

Distinctly better hovering, and absolutely marvellous dramatic reduction in gimbal creep!

Looks like a iPad software issue - updated that and the issue is fixed.
