Motor overload. Aircraft will decelerate to ensure safety

Actually, I might be out of the woods. I was using an inverter to try and charge them - was away, camping. Just plugged one of them in at home and it looks like it's charging. *chuffed*

Motor overload. Aircraft will decelerate to ensure safety

What I get with the three affected batteries is: Plug into charger Battery does a short health check ... Nothing happens If I do a long press to get the battery health, it shows all four lights. They just won't accept charge. Same experience whether I try to charge them individually, or on...

Motor overload. Aircraft will decelerate to ensure safety

I flew 4 of my batteries down to 0%. Recharged two immediately. They don't produce the error any more. I didn't have a chance to charge the other two for a couple of days, but it looks like I've left them over-discharged for too long, and destroyed them. I was hoping they would be able to...

Motor overload. Aircraft will decelerate to ensure safety

I just started experiencing this myself after the latest update. I think it's more battery related than motor. I have a FLIR camera and my motors are all very close on temp - so I, like others, are leaning towards this being a battery issue. I'm getting that issue with my batteries where it has...

Shou app is back for iOS!

Can’t say I’m a fan of sideloading an app onto my device. Especially one that records. Who knows what it is recording, or sending (can it keycap?) Tinfoilhat

    New Firmware v1.3.0.00 Aug 4 2015

The 'Pilot' app was renamed 'Go'. If you're using Pilot, you're on an old version and need to update.

    New Firmware v1.3.0.00 Aug 4 2015

For the battery cycling, my approach was: Make sure it is drained in one cycle. Initially, I would just pop the full battery in the AC, turn it on (not armed - rotors stopped), and let it run itself right down - with a VERY small voltage draw. But, I was impatient and I was only doing one per...

    New Firmware v1.3.0.00 Aug 4 2015

Yep. That's my experience. That one I'm not so sure of. If you check the PDF I attached previously (I've included the log reports in it, and you can see that I erased the log files after every round of updates), you'll see that it seems to append the status of the battery update. Doesn't do it...

    You’re absolutely right.

Uh, I think it also says it failed 4 times after that ONE that you singled out. As far as I can tell, a single controller I1 setup updates: AC ESC Camera Gimbal (Does it do this separately to the camera?) Battery (seems to store/report multiple entries - confusing) Controller Seeing one...

Don't know why you would. They only put it in the instructions and firmware release notes.

Yeah, I think he said in a previous post he was going to try the old FW on a newly formatted card. Stick with 1.3 @BOO, it will help us help you </jerry maguire>

    New Firmware v1.3.0.00 Aug 4 2015

Hi @BOO I don't think our issues are the same, because my FW updates were flawless. Follow previous advice. Make sure ONLY the firmware file is on the card. After an attempted update, review the logs on the card and see what the status is, then delete them - so it is just the .bin file again...

@Auspete I did try firing it up, but that didn't help. It was reformatting the card that did the trick for me. Is what the same issue? I resolved my 'no signal' issue by reformatting my SD card. Not sure why it would report back as not having a signal though.

NOT faded out - ND filter ON ;) But reformatting the SD card has worked. Back in action - after a successful firmware update! I'm breathing again. Thanks for your suggestion
