So, looking to go ahead and downgrade my I1 with X3 and X5 but I have a question first. Can I use the updated, latest version of Go with 1.8 of the I1 firmware? I don't want to have to faff with maintaining an old version of Go on my iPad because the device gets used for other things too.

Not sure how he can be less abrupt. It was a simple question that resulted in a simple answer. No 5.8GHz goggles will work with the I1 unless they have an external HDMI input.

Sounds like the camera or the connections between the camera and the bird are shot. Check all the contacts and clean them with contact cleaner. The Go app changing to Inspire 1 is normal if the Inspire has no camera attached.

Is this an Inspire Pro? Can you grab the log files from the hidden folder on the SC card after the update? Instructions here: Decoding the firmware upgrade log file Did you have the transmitter on when updating the bird?

Are you talking about the little jumps when panning? It looks to me like a frame-rate mis-match. Is your output a factor of your shutter speed (50fps, 25fps etc for a shutter speed of 1/50)? If you are recording at 24fps or 60fps with a 1/50 shutter then it could cause this.

It will have to go back to DJI. You have "No device detected" at 08 00 and 15 00. This is the same issue I had with my Pro and there is no way for you to fix it. It's only the camera that will have to go to DJI though, not the entire Inspire. Can you tell me whether you had the RC powered on...

How are you going to control the camera? You will need the complete CAN system from an Inspire to make it work I would think. Maybe an Osmo handle disassembled and attached to the T810 might work? Wifi range is only a couple of metres though.

Mine does this too (and always has right from the first firmware revision). It's by design so that the camera remains steady while the bird starts moving. When you are flying it's fine. On the ground it looks weird as in your video but in the air when the bird moves you will see that the camera...
