    "Asshat". Nice

    Idiots

Huppe, I agree 100%. It is a double-edged sword that the technology has become less expensive, the barrier to entry has been reduced and the less serious people have become "pilots". Now we are all lumped-in with those "pilots" and looked at as equals. It's very frustrating.

    Idiots

These "pilots" could not care less about the safety of the people around them or the future laws imposed as a result of their foolish actions. The affordability of this technology which has allowed us to obtain better and better equipment has, unfortunately, allowed individuals with a little...

Correct Procedure for Setting RTH Prior to Takeoff

More thank anything, I'm looking for a best practices checklist to ensure correct RTH. I already check the mod values and the rest, I'm just looking for what everyone else does as part of their preflight checklist.

Correct Procedure for Setting RTH Prior to Takeoff

Which part is the bug? The 0.0 RTH or the new RTH being set at the then current AC altitude? Or both?

Correct Procedure for Setting RTH Prior to Takeoff

I have searched the forums and have been unable to find the correct procedure for setting the home point prior to takeoff. Perhaps it is in the forum and I have simply missed it. If that is the case, I apologize for the new thread and can someone please link me to the correct thread. The issue...

    TSA

Luis, you are misunderstanding me. I addressed that the TSA is not the only obstacle to clear in my post, then you commented on my post stating that TSA "is just part of the equation". Yes, I had addressed that and even included links in my post. The "you" in "do your homework" is not...

    TSA

Yes, which is why I did my research on the airline (URL link in the post) and confirmed that their regulations are the same as the FAA's. Do your homework and you will probably not have any issues unless you get a TSA screener with a real burr in their saddle.

    TSA

A lot of these TSA screeners are simply not educated as to what is allowed and what is not. Help them do their job correctly by providing printed materials from the TSA website and the airline's website, but don't belittle or berate them. I have seen screeners use the threat of, "I will make you...

just shot RedBull in china, poor video from 2nd RC, unusable for camera person

I agree that DJI is not known for "fessing-up" to product defects (hardware or software); maybe it is the company culture to deny deny deny until there is no other explanation - and then they simply say the new version (software or hardware) has addressed the prior issue(s).

just shot RedBull in china, poor video from 2nd RC, unusable for camera person

If the video 2.4 Ghz feed comes directly from the I1, why do you lose video when the master controller is switched off?

just shot RedBull in china, poor video from 2nd RC, unusable for camera person

After speaking with DJI support, they suggested replacing the 2nd controller (which I will do through the dealer I purchased from). When I asked about how common the issue was and if they are getting a lot of reports of similar issues, he said they are not getting a great deal of reports about...

    Unable to establish home point

I am experiencing this issue, but am able to get the home point to set once the I1 is off the ground. However, the RTH altitude sets to the current altitude of the I1 when I set the home point instead of the 40M I have set in the Failsafe settings. What am I doing wrong here? Why is there a...

just shot RedBull in china, poor video from 2nd RC, unusable for camera person

Are there any updates to this topic, perhaps in another thread? I took my I1 out for its first shakedown flight over the weekend and encountered this exact same issue.
