Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

I could tell (and pretty much understand why) both iTunes (or something to do the same thing - iMazing won't cut it, I'm sensing) and Charles Proxy is required. Thanks once again! I have some other activities that have a high priority right now (trying to convince my community to Go Solar...

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

THANKS!! Once again. I had come upon on of his videos while searching around. It apparently was an older one, as it had much older DJI Go ipa files. I tried to use the Google Docs spreadsheet url in his video to get to a number for the 3.1.1 version, but was told that document doesn't exist...

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

Actually, while you were flying yours, mine was in the carry case. I haven't really started flying it because the iPad app won't get into the Equipment mode that lets you see the camera downlink and has all the nice control icons and status displays. I've only used a battery to get it out of...

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

I may not be so technically savvy by your standards, but better than most.... Most of my use of iTunes has been for music on my desktop, but I have used it to interface with an iPhone (and iPad, I think) to download photos and files, in particular. This is rare. Looking at the new "Music" in...

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

Actually I found it (iMazing 2) and downloaded it ($50/3 devices). It runs on my Mac and allows managing things on the iPad. Is it supposed to run on the iPad? What is the intent here? Just FYI: I'm a 76 year old retiree, who is somewhat technically savvy, though usually there were tech...

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

I searched the Apple app store for iMazing and it only found image conversion apps, and nothing named iMazing. I also have an iPad mini3, but it's running the same software.

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

I've watched your firmware update video, parts 1 & 2 (and subscribed). I hope I don't to do that, but it seems doable. I've continued probing around on the DJI site (store/support) and haven't yet found a way to locate the older app.

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

The iPad I had been using and was planning on using again: SW Version 12.4.8; Model iPad mini 2; Model no. MF087LL/A. I'll watch the video. Thanks for your efforts thus far! It's the first break I've gotten on this problem.

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

Apparently the DJI Go app version on my iPad (recently downloaded) is 3.1.66. Since I can't see into the drone's status, I don't really know what variant of firmware is loaded on it, but it's certainly at least 3 years old. I've have searched on the DJI.com site and couldn't find any path to...

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

I'm only aware of the DJI Go app. I've downloaded the most recent one. By "4" do you mean a version number?

Resurrecting an Inspire 1 original after 3 years

I'm attempting to resurrect an original Inspire 1 after 3 years in its traveling case. The hardware seems to work fine. All batteries (two for drone, and both controllers) have been charged, and the pilot controller connects to and controls the drone (at least the get out of transport mode...

An Example of "Editing Down" Video

Hmmmmmm. Guess my age is showing... 71. In general, I enjoyed the longer video more - allowed some time to really take in all that beautiful scenery. The short by Aerial Entertainment Studios left me sort of frustrated that I didn't have time to fully take in the scenes. Loved the longer...

I lost control after Battery Change

Glad I happened to think of it. I'm a newbie, so have no real experience to rely on. I've been most interested in this discussion. Might save me significant grief.

I lost control after Battery Change

A curious question: when you changed batteries was one a 47 and the other a 48? Might explain the impact on the compass.

    Dedicated Pilot Camera & Downlink

Thanks! 'Pretty easy'......easy for you to say..... Actually, with the help of some more technician like talent I may be able to do it. I'd be interested to know how it all comes together. Are you planning on the FPV downlink having aircraft data included on it (that's what is meant by OSD...
