Upgrade Firmware or leave well enough alone?

I've tried getting "perfectly level" cals and, with my airframe at least, it is impossible. Using a calibrated transit level sitting on the motor shafts I cannot get the AC level in both X and Y axis. Perhaps there is some "twist" in the airframe that I cannot eliminate.

Drone pilot 'breaks every rule in the book'

At the risk of having my comment removed for being off-topic or for being what might be considered of a "personal" nature, I still feel compelled to comment. After looking at his profile picture and reading his replies to comments in the other forum, I can only marvel at his casual egotism and...

    Free Osmo FlexiMic

So, I'm guessing that if you didn't buy your OSMO from DJI directly, but from an authorized retailer, you won't get one?

Inspire RC battery state LED rapid blinking

Yeah, I might have gotten it down to the under 25% LED flashing state as I was draining a couple of flight batteries to reset them after an update. I'll keep that in mind for the future. Sorry to hear that your oft listed AC is involved living in the black world. I'm sure that it is quite...

Inspire RC battery state LED rapid blinking

That's exactly what I did and that's exactly what happened. What does that behavior mean, if you know? Thanks! BTW, regarding the AC you list at the bottom of your posts....please send photos. ;)

Inspire RC battery state LED rapid blinking

Ugh, I'm getting so tired of fixing one problem just to have another one immediately pop up. When attempting to charge my Master RC, I initially see the usual charge status indication (one to four of the LEDs blinking in sequence), then the RC quickly reverts to the leftmost LED blinking...

    Is this a new problem?

Well, the DeoxIT D5 did seem to help with the problem, but maintaining a connection with the camera is still inconsistent. I will try another application and see if that improves things. However, I did note a reaction with one of the non metal pieces on the gimbal. There is a thin plastic gasket...

Inspire 1 Radio wont connect to DJI GO app, Help please!

I got it from a dealer in Westlake Village, CA called DroneFly. Check their website or give them a call. They only stock some Inspire parts, but have the USB module for sure.

Inspire 1 Radio wont connect to DJI GO app, Help please!

Yes, I have successfully replaced a faulty USB module on my Inspire remote with the DJI part that is labeled as for Phantom upgrade to HMDI. Apparently, they are identical. It works fine. And yes, as Editor said, a faulty USB module is the most likely explanation for the symptoms you described...

    Is this a new problem?

I assume that you've seen no negative interaction with any of the plastics used in the mount. Do you apply it directly from the aerosol can or use a swab? Also, I see that it comes in both 5% and 100% versions. Which do you recommend? Thanks!

    Is this a new problem?

Yup, did that already. I recently had an occurrence of the video link dropping out while still getting good flight telemetry from the AC, so I suspected the contact plate and removed/reattached the camera gimbal which seemed to fix it. I will try that procedure again to see if it has any effect...

    Is this a new problem?

Perhaps there is already a thread for this, but I have not yet seen it. Anyway..... All is well, the remote is on, the bird is on and linked, the app is running, all preflight checks are nominal. I try to start the video recording and the screen blinks, I briefly see the DJI logo in the center...

    Crash, suspicious of battery

Battery voltage levels are not listed on the .csv file that was contained within the .dat file. It all looks to be barometric (altitude), acceleration, gyro position, lat-lon, magnetic, pitch/roll/yaw etc. data. In other words, flight data, not aircraft systems data. Perhaps that is stored...

    Crash, suspicious of battery

Juan, I've attached a screen shot of the flight map along with a velocity and altitude plot. I was able to generate a .csv file which shows the actual data from the flight recorder but it is too large to upload. If you PM me with your email address, I can send it to you. This .csv file shows you...

DJI GO crashes on iPad Air2

Well, that fixed it. Uninstall and reinstall was the answer. Evidently something got corrupted during the last update of the app and it was crashing on camera access. Thanks again to everyone who responded with suggestions and information! I'm back to running w/2 controllers again!
