You may get the exemption, but you wont meet the main requirement to operate a drone for your business. Separate issues.. At least the way it is written today, you will need a pilot with a FAA airman certificate. From the FAA: What are the main requirements needed for me to operate an unmanned...

Question re DJI's No Fly Zone override service

So my point is, i agree NFZ are a good thing, however if you have a pilot license and 333 waiver you are not going to risk loosing your license to play around in an airport area. Help understanding current status of my exemption

No question the FAA is behind the curve on this one. But like most cases, when you are confronted with a caotic situation (especially when lives are involved) best to side with caution. Do you have a pilots license?

    Drone Flying for Profit... Legal?

Interesting article, and we all have free will to do as we please, but I would rather spend my time getting the waiver than my money on lawers fighting the faa. IMHO

Thanks, here is some of what I got as well. I think this might be a good time for the OP to play the lottery. I don't think we'll see our waivers till about Christmas. As a reminder, Part 11.81 requires operators to submit a petition for exemption 120 days before you need the exemption to...
