This is simply not true at all. I have first hand experience of getting money back through PayPal over a dodgy drone purchase.

CE mode. It makes very little difference. Regardless, flying further 2-3kms away leaves you very little airtime to do anything other than fly in a straight line in one direction, turn and head home. Not terribly exciting. But if that's your thing, buy an Itelite antenna for $100 or so...
