Battery TB48 - Unbalanced Cells or Electronic Failure

Thanks for searching that out for me. I found these two images on here a while ago. Might be helpful if others are looking for the same sort of info: cell 1: pad 1 & 2 cell 2: pad 2 & 3 etc...

Battery TB48 - Unbalanced Cells or Electronic Failure

Wouldn't it be nice if DJI actually put a proper balance lead on their ridiculously expensive "smart" batteries? I know I've seen it somewhere on this forum, but would you mind pointing to the info on adding a balance plug to a TBXX battery?

Orange Splash of Color - Inspire 1v2

Nice job! I'm particularly impressed that you did the batteries too!

Our first project with the X7

I was going to ask you to confirm that those mountain shots were really shot with the I2 and not a helicopter... Then thought I'd better watch the BTS clip. Hanging out the side of a squirrel with the I2 is cheating! :) Nice work (great gig too)!

Is the z3 still having issues?

I'm on Aircraft v 1.10.01.40, camera 1.9.1.40+, Go app 3.1.5. I did a bit more hunting online and found reports of similar problems, which were resolved by going to 1080P rather than 4K, which I tried. Go image improved while in video mode (markedly), but the photo image was still pretty...

Is the z3 still having issues?

After months of heated exchanges with my (now former) supplier, I finally received my Z3. Ordered last September, arrived last week. What an anticlimax. The still images and video are acceptable, but the on-screen image in the Go app is terrible; very soft and it always looks out of focus, even...

DJI Lightbridge (Inspire 1) video feed to a remote location

Our company used an HDMI to coaxial converter from the slave controller to get the video over 100 meters of coax to a large monitor in a remote location on a ship. Had a coax to HDMI converter at the other end. Both converters required 5v power, which was easy enough to arrange on a ship. Not a...

    Altitude Data is Wrong

Yeah John, your barometric altitude would reference as zero on the ground, but the GPS height could be almost anything (whatever the WGS84 geoid height may be in your area) and that is what is getting written to your metadata. At my flying field, I was getting geotag metadata reports of -41.6m...

    Altitude Data is Wrong

Hi John, you may know this already, but my take on it is the image tag is recording the unit's GPS altitude, which will always be out by a large amount. The barometer will record altitude relative to take off location, and will be somewhere in the flight log, but not associated with your GPS...

Mapping - elevation and dimension accuracy

There's some good starting info here for expectation management (if you haven't already seen it): DroneDeploy I've been using Map Pilot and Maps Made Easy, which is far cheaper than DD.

    Antarctic work

Stategically placed hands. Just got my camera guy to cover the GPS antenna until the Go app showed 0 satellites, and viola! It was a bit messy though, and if there's a next time, I'll make a little cover out of lead flashing or something similar to cover the antenna area. Might look a bit more...

    Antarctic work

Not during any storms that I knew of... there was no way of checking the Kp index while I was on the ship. We had some awesome aurora on the way south though. And I think you'll find that the GNSS is accurate worldwide now, and the problems you refer to are a thing of the past.

    Antarctic work

Yeah Nick, there's a lot going on in there all right! As you probably know, the DJI manual mentions that the Inspire (and Phantom) are not to be used in P-GPS modes in Polar latitudes. The compass is not only struggling with magnetic declination, but inclination as well, especially near the...
