I tried this but no joy, I was too busy for 6 months so when I charged up 3 of the batteries 2 of them failed to wake up and take a charge. one had a small charge on it and would not switch off, left it and tried the reset but both are scrap, by the way there is 8 clips to get the top off 2 top...

I sprung a leak in a underwater dive camera case with a Canon 650 DSLR while diving in the Red Sea, got to back on the boat removed the battery and put the camera in fresh water, rinsed a few time, rapped up in a towel and left it in the sun for the next 2 days, refitted the battery and bingo it...
