Sadly this is true. I assume you mean in America? I do feel they are a little better here in the UK. And I do say this from experience after having a conversation with police after flying on some private property (with permission) where some people called the police due to 'Privacy concerns'...

Maybe it might be time to invest in some Lipo bags and play it safe and not sorry even if this incident was a freak one. And hopefully avoid any issues at the airports as well. Does anybody know of brands/sizes that are a good fit for the I1 batteries?

When I had the app on my Ipad it worked fine. but before when using my iphone 6 I have this issue.

Thanks for the input guys it does seem like the general consensus is that most planes let you carry it on (even if it can be risky) The go proffesional case does also seem like a good idea and paying a little extra to check it means I can carry a backpack full of my usual junk when I get on planes
