Yup, Elia's work is awesome. I hadn't realized he had to taken to the air until I saw that same article on ye ole Fstoppers. The BTS episodes for his landscape classes are a fun watch as well.

I do it all the time. As others have stated just keep LOS and you'll be fine.

I don't change my settings per LUT. I use the log to rec 709 as a starting point then adjust accordingly. From there I may add one of the grading LUTs to finish it but not always. From my understanding getting your exposure correct seems to help the most and backing off the on sharpness...

+1 on what The Editor and sirnikolas stated. I use the SRP filters as well. No color cast what so ever. They're great.
