The situation in the US would be hilarious if not so tragic. Someone crashes a drone into a lake and gets banned for a year? Most people think drones should be banned from national parks? Yet how many people get shot over there, and yet no movement on gun restrictions. Utter madness!

Hmmmm. I get the impression you don't live in the US. No movement on gun restrictions? I live ~150 miles south of Chicago, a place that has more laws on the books concerning guns than any other state in the Union. Guess who has the highest shootings and gun related crime rate in the US? Blaming guns for that is like blaming the lake the guy crashed into. Its the person behind the trigger or the sticks in this case creating the problem.
