The is a second video from last weeks trip and is really more for the railfan types. The video is less an artistic piece as an informational one and as such is quite a bit longer than most videos here. Also, only the first half was filmed with a drone with the second half being filmed with a Panasonic GH-2. Basically, I used the drone to provide the setting to show the bridge being part of a much larger landscape.

There are a lot of train videos on Youtube and it appears to be one of the most popular sub genres. There are also quite a few videos of the Canyon Diablo Bridge, but almost all follow the same formula of putting a camera on a tripod and waiting for a train -- I wanted to provide more perspective and the Inspire was useful in that regard.

One of the main challenges in shooting here is that the canyon rim on the west side, the other side, is about 10 feet higher than the east side so it's impossible to see or hear a train coming from the west until it's just about on you. In order to have the necessary heads up to launch a drone you'd really want to have a video camera with telephoto lens on top of a 20 foot pole with the ability to pan to look in both directions.
