There isn't any "rule" but, you should do a close visual inspection every time you fly as part of your prelaunch check list. You can gently flex them near the junction of the blade and hub to check for cracks. Any sign of stress or wear would get a replacement in my book. At the same time, I'm not going to replace a prop simply because it's completed a "service cycle" arbitrarily believed by some operators.
