It sure is only a matter of time until a major accident happens. If 5% of users are completely irresponsible / crazy, we are talking of at least 25 / 30 thousand of them entering the airspaces every year:

I hate these stories! It doesn't make any difference to the 5% idiots that are doing this -- they paid good money for there drone and there going to do whatever they want with it until they are made illegal. Then they'll stomp there feet about an oppressive government.

There are irresponsible people in all areas but most don't threaten the lives of hundreds of people when they screw up.
