Dual Cendence - Patch Antennas

Christmas present was a second Cendence controller. Yes I know that is overkill but will keep my camera guy happy.

Any reason not to use the omni antennas on the slave (or in the new DJI PC term, assistant) controller instead of the patch panel? That is based on the assistant talks directly to the master instead of reaching out to the aircraft.

I know a few people have questioned the benefit of the patch antenna over the omni. Will add some feedback on my testing once the weekend hits.

I’ve had awful trouble with patch antenna, break up at less than 250m horizontal, changed to Omni and no issues at all, I’ll be sticking to them from now on even if they fix that issue, I think patch antenna is overkill given the VLOS requirements in most countries
