USA Flight under an existing sUA NOTAM

At DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, ATIS reports a sUA NOTAM in effect from 8am to 8pm local. Can I fly under that same NOTAM (whith permission from tower of course) or do I, should I file a NOTAM for my proposed flight?? I did a subject search on this and nothing came up....

A NOTAM is issued to an individual with their own contact info. The contact info is not shown to the public but the FAA has that info on file. When you call to file your NOTAM the person you will talk to can probably explain the particulars.

PDK is class D, thus waiver is required for part 107 operation. Not sure what u r asking, sir.

I think you meant "authorization"...

Either way, you can't use someones else's NOTAM. NOTAM doesn't equal authorization.

Understood. I was trying to understand what any NOTAM has to do with the price of rice in China. Class D is class D.

Maybe he is still using a 333 exemption??

You still have to file a NOTAM for your flight whether 107 or 333.
