No, the picture quality is as good as a P4 (which is slightly above the Inspires X3).
The videos you have seen are posted by individuals who are clueless that the Mavic must be focussed as it is not a fixed focus camera like the X3.

Thanks for the update. Not fair to dub people as clueless. Even Shainblum acknowledged having to find out about focus. Much as I focus with my X5. He did acknowledge that it was now close to a phantom 4 picture, but not quite as good.
