A cliff face 1000m by 500m high

What app can plot a grid for me back and forth infront of the face rising up or down each path?

allowing for camera angle, ie forward
and photo overlap

thx

Pix4D capture allows for free flight missions. You can set at which intervals photos are taken (every X feet vertically and/or horizontally).

yes but I don't think on a large scale that would work, too inefficent.
Judging the distance of the base leg would be impractical, the first photo would trigger but the width of the next leg would likely be wrong

How about if you worked the vertical surface in columns instead of horizontally?

If I was on land I could pace out the spacing and do verticals, but I'm on a boat.

Ugcs looks like it can do it.

The local politics are messy.

I installed ugcs and it looked good.
I've also talked with Alexey at ugcs, it was further complicated because of the remoteness of the site there was no 3d terrain data.

Ugcs helps again as it can import aquick model which is used for a full survey

wow thats a hell of a task! please let us know what you come up with! very interesting!
