Just purchased 4 64gb cards for my Inspire 1 and was wondering how much time I can record on each card if I use 4K quality video.

Anyone have tested yet? I know I'm more than fine in 1080p but was wondering about 4k.

    Thanks

Inspire writes at 60Mb/sec which is 7.5MB/sec in 4k. Multiply it out and you get 142 minutes on 64GB assuming you have a full 64GB available (which you won't as you lose a bit with formatting etc).

Yes the Inspire unfortunately pegs it's bit rate at a measly 60Mbps which is woefully low for 4K/UHD for fast moving subjects such as footage from a quadcopter.
60Mbps maybe just about ok for hovering in one place with very little movement but as soon as you move you need nearer to 100Mbps for decent 4K/UHD.

That aside, don't forget that the Inspire uses variable bit rate encoding not CBR so therefore if there is no movement in the frame the rate will drop significantly. This will save space on your media so in reality with mixed footage you will get more than 142mins (in theory).
