How to make my second controller the master

I am getting ready to send my master controller to DBSMODS to get a range extender installed. Could someone out there help me activate my second controller, that I had set up to use as the camera controller, which I've never tried, as the master controller while my original controller is away getting the range extender installed? I watched a video on YouTube, but it didn't help me. I would be appreciative of some guidance. Thanks!
