That depends on how newly manufactured your Inspire 1 is. It will have the latest firmware that was available at the time it was manufactured.
So there is a possibility that you will need to do a firmware update?

It depends from whom you purchased from! We bought ours from B&H Photo, and just received it one week ago. It had 1.2 software on it. Not even 1.3.
Some vendors, have the option of having the system certified ready to fly when you receive it. Which means the latest software.

Purchased a D version (latest) from Heliguy and the firmware was 1.2 but everything updated no problem, incrementally up to 1.4 except the RC which only upgrades to 1.3 as previously stated in the sticky thread.
