I have tried to repair the center shaft 2 times and it seems to pull out the bearing at the bottom each time. Seems the down pressure pushes the inter bearing collar through the bottom. I cant believe this happens 2 times in a row. Anyone have a schematic on how the bearing goes in? Is there a front and back side to bearing? Seems like the inner bearing pushes out.

Mahalo for the help

Sounds like you have a fit/clearance or a lubrication issue. The bearing should fit tight enough to resist any pull from the screw. There is no retainer on the screw side. The easiest fix, might be Loctite. Clean the bearing outer race and "socket" with acetone/alcohol first. In my experience, disassembling the frame is a chore. Haven't had much success removing a motor. A few drops of lubricating oil on the screw on reassembly.

I would think replacing the chassis as a last resort. Good luck!
