Inspire 1 RC not updating - Instructions on how to reset RC

i have been trying to fix this issue for days since i got my new slave remote....finally figured it out!!

First check the current firmware version of the remote in question
Second download the next consecutive version of firmware and update to that.
Thirdly repeat until you are up to date.

The firmware seems to be incremental like old game patches. They have to be done in order or they fail.
