Yes, but because it is the Mavic forum, we can assume these things.
Not the case for the Inspire forum though!

    Here's another from today.
Not going to post any more of this. I'm sure we all get the picture, but someone has to shut the Mavic pilots forum down or at least replace the mods !

With a spotter using binoculars I can get about 3400-4000' before you can no longer see the drone. Obviously 7800' was outside line of sight which is a requirement to fly.

As we know, binoculars are not permitted.

If you shut them down you'll make it harder for the feds to catch 'em!

    Yes that's true!
It was suggested that I shouldn't bother with these people and just let nature take its course with these newbies.

The elitist circlejerk about how much better "we" are than those filthy, lawless "Mavic pilot" peasants is getting intense, fellas.

Very nice video. You just proved owning an Inspire (which I do in addition to a Mavic) is not enough to get great shots.

Your video is very inspirational. Keep up the good work.

While I get the jest of your post, Canon 5Ds and GoPros have indeed been used in major productions for example.

Yeah, when they are filming Blair Witch and other "fpv" scenes... you do realize how hard it is to mix that footage with raw?

The point is even a camera as nimble as a GoPro can be used at the right time for the right shot. And you are correct about color correcting difficulties.

And the X3 is used in the TV Show Quantico for the aerial shots.
Blends in very well with the Alexa Raw footage the show is shot with.
Don't even get me started with this RAW thing.
Total overkill for TV. For motion picture theatre release, yes.
    TV, total overkill!

Same feeling here. We are obviously invading birds' natural habitats, but several Mavic pilots have suggested countermeasures to injure or kill aggressive birds. Selfishness is rampant.

The owners of this forum and the Mavic forum are one in the same. The admins like myself are on all 8 forums. And myself, clackey and Dirkclod are mods at Mavic. I am not sure what your issue with us is. We do not control the minds of all our members and we discourage unsafe flying habits. Inspire owners are no better than any other members of the 8 forums, there are always those that do not respect others or the laws. Also, not everyone lives in America and has to follow the "guidelines" from the FAA. These forums are made up of many people from around the world. Fortunately there are some members here who see the big picture and are not so self righteous. Mavic's, Phantom's, Inspire's, Typhoon's, X-Stars... they all are used in commercial businesses, the commercial world isn't limited to Inspire's.

Here are some quick examples of videos/pics found right here in the Inspire forum...
    Pot, meet kettle...

Warnings have been issued to those who needed it by the mods here (thank you), and Since this thread is just spinning it's wheels here, I have closed it.
