We have been conducting a private beta testing of Mission Planner in the past 3 weeks. We are about to start a small scale (round one) public beta testing, targeting 50 beta testers on iPad. If you are interested to join, please sign up at Beta Registration Form. We expect beta testers willing to provide feedback on problems/bugs and suggestions to improve the app.

We would like to share with you 2 videos of “Fly Multi-Target Mission” and “Setup Multi-Target Mission” to get an idea how it works.

Mission Planner is an advanced ground station to program autonomous waypoint flight based on Google Map for creating superior footage. You can set maximum 99 waypoints in conjunction with multiple shooting targets in a single continuous mission. With aid of progressive Auto-Tilt gimbal control, it always keeps your targets right at the center of your footage with smooth camera tilting from one target to another even with some very difficult footage.

Mission Planner is powerful and easy to use. It guides you through mission setup step-by-step. You can plan your mission anywhere you like without requiring connection to RC or aircraft, then save the mission file on your iOS devices for future use like a document file.

[EDIT: updated the first video]

Signed up as a beta tester and this program works great , ran 4 missions at the local park , very easy to use and the ability to program the route before hand is great , bit tricky setting the target heights for the camera to focus on but that was my error ,

Keen to know what others think

We will release a new beta update #3018 shortly. What's new:
1. Screen recorder (only available for iOS 9) by double-tap home screen to start/stop recording and save to Camera Roll
2. Email (in Review step) mission file
3. Display flight path (in yellow)
4. Minor UI bugs fixed

just tried this with my inspire 1 pro x5 and it works. so far so good. i did notice each times it reaches the waypoint it stops quickly before going to next waypoint. needs to be smoothed out.
mission planner even operates the tilt on the x5 to keep target in view.. cool

Thank you to all of you who joined the beta testing and provided your valuable feedback.

The new update of FPV Camera v1.3 (with Mission Planner) is available in iTunes App Store now. We also introduce a new All-In-One monthly subscription model in the new update.

Did you use straight or curved corner? Can you post a screenshot of your setup?

So what is the fees? What if you already paid for some features?
Also like to know, how google's stop of its Google Map service in December will effect the App?

You may still go for typical IAP or the new AIO.

Google map SDK service used in the app wouldn't be affected.

We are about to start beta testing of FPV Camera version 2.0. We add a new mission type "Panorama" in Mission Planner. We target the first round beta testing to existing Mission Planner users who are familiar with the basic operation. Stay tuned!

Share with you a simple tutorial of Create Spherical Panorama with FREE Microsoft ICE

It is fairly straight forward of shooting 360°x180° spherical panorama (20/26 photos) in Mission Planner with either Pano-WP or Panorama mission. However, stitching 20/26 photos together to share a spherical panorama could be a bit challenging and time consuming.

We share with you of using FREE Microsoft ICE 2.0 (Image Composite Editor) to stitch 20 photos together, publish and share to Photosynth by a few simple steps in 3-5 minutes. It's assumed you have installed the Microsoft ICE 2.0 and required components, as well as created an account in Photosynth.

• Open ICE 2.0 and Select "New Panorama From Images" button, then select all 20 photos shot by Mission Planner (with DJI Phantom 3 Professional).

ICE_New.jpg

• Keep "Simple panorama" and "Auto-detect" (by default) in IMPORT step, then click NEXT button. It will take 1-2 minutes to process and stitch photos together.

ICE_Import.jpg

• Keep "Spherical" (by default) in STITCH step, then click NEXT button. It will take less than 1 minute to process.

ICE_Stitch.jpg

• Click "Auto complete" in CROP step to straighten the panorama. It will take less than 1 minute to process. You might need to crop top/bottom manually if "Auto complete" couldn't completely straighten it up or leave it as is if you don't mind.

ICE_Crop.jpg

• Select Photosynth in EXPORT step and "Sign in..." a previous created account. Enter appropriate Appearance (Title, Tags, Description) and select Access (Visibility, Photo rights) as needed, then click "Publish to Photsynth" button.

ICE_Export.jpg

• After published the panorama, you may copy the link (such as this sample Gold Coast Yacht Club) to share with your friends or public. You can zoom in/out and pan up/down/left/right in most (but not all) of browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, iPhone/iPad Safari.

This looks very good but have a question: How will this app work with the new GEO system?

GEO is controlled by DJI flight controller and firmware regardless what apps do you use. If you can't take off with DJI GO due to NFZ, then you can't take off with FPV Camera or any other 3rd-party apps. There is no 3rd-party apps can bypass this AFAIK, unless to hack the NFZ table or remove/ignore it (such as downgrade to FW 1.5.30).

A new beta v2.1 (#3742) is available in TestFlight with following changes:
- Mission Planner is compatible with iPhone (4.7" & 5.5") with more flexible user interface
- Toggle show/hide Mission Panel, small window and telemetry to free up more screen space for mission planning
- iCloud Sync under Mission Planner > Settings
- Direct copy email attachment mission file to the app (you might need to leave and re-open the app to take effect)
- Camera: Grid lines under Settings > Camera Settings > Grid
- Camera: Popup "Test" message when no signal for testing purpose
- Other minor fixes

**IMPORTANT** Turn off iCloud Sync (Mission Planner > Settings) if it's ON be default when you have previous beta installed. Otherwise, it switches storage to iCloud Drive instead of local waypoint folder, and you wouldn't see those previous created missions. Read more before turning ON iCloud Sync in Settings.
