Yes you know you're totally right my iPad uses its own Internet signal so I always have GPS lock where I fly. I can definitely see where that would be a problem blocking the GPS antenna. thanks for letting me know about that I really appreciate it

Im not sure if it obvious or not, but on Android(and possible IOS?) when the location service determines user location with cell tower and Wi-Fi for faster locking in on a location its not accurate enough for "follow mode". So make sure its turned off and its only GPS that finds the location.
