So who's going to be the first to try out the battery level drop fix then?
Who is going to fly their pack down to 60-70%. Leave it for a day or two, then take another flight?
I have to say, I have never suffered the battery problem and I couldn't make it do it whilst testing this newest FW so I cannot say catagorically its been fixed or not since I could never reproduce it in thet first place!

easy. fly around then stop at 60 % or les leave it sit for an hour or two and take the battery out. then go fly again and you will notice a really really short flight time seeing the % drop from 50 to 20 then suddenly the AC will start to land and when you check voltage or % you will se ZERO% or 1 or 5 or less. i tested it and remembered what was said and it was / is true :)

Did you install the new firmware?

Interesting, so it was indeed intentional, not a "mistake" like some suggested.
It is NOW :p.
Originally it was a mistake and DJI made a public statement that follow me would NOT be introduced on the Inspire due to its MTOM.
They have now done a complete 180 (probably due to pressure from a plethora of third party apps that DID allow it).
It is highly unlikely we will ever get the truth out of them although I have asked them directly what (in their opinion) made an unsafe situation/feature suddenly into a safe one...... I have had silence so far

Yup - I know what it is and I know that some people have suffered it, I just have been unable to reproduce it. Perhaps my packs are in better condition than some. However, I am not saying it is/was never a reality, just that I never suffered it (even trying on purpose to reproduce it). I have also been unable to in this release of FW.
That's why I would like to get peoples experience who have regularly suffered this anomaly to attempt to reproduce it now with this new firmware and confirm if it is fixed for them.

not trying to offend here - just to make it clear- Mr Editor :D
I also never had the issue because I either took a new battery or flew down the one in the craft. I once was able to do this. so I will probably give it a shot since my next shoot will be end of dec.
will try to give a report here as soon as weather conditions and the friken coldness take a step back and I am able to go out and fly a bit.

edit: I will try it on the AC I have to send back anyway since the cable there is a mess anyway so I won´t be using it. one battery has to be upgraded for the test max 2 I´ll see what will happen.

Think I'll wait until Santa's been before I update, just don't know what he's going to have in his sack for me;)

Hi,

In the release notes, what does "Hibernation and gimbal protection is not supported on the Inspire 1 X3 gimbal" mean?

Thank you
Those are two functions that the Osmo X3 gimbal has built into it. You can park the gimbal when not in use and hibernate the gimbal saving battery life. I also assume the high frame rate is not supported. Guess you can't have it all quite yet. Glad the Inspire X3 can be used in a pinch though. I have a handle only on order.

Thanks, I am. I never am quite sure what needs to be updated...so the answer is no...we do not need to upgrade the RC with this latest firmware upgrade...but we need to update our batteries...correct?

Thanks

You do need to upgrade all your batteries and you will get an on-screen reminder to do a full battery calibration (continuous 100% to 5% discharge) with each battery.
