Gang I'm running a lower end pc for my editing, 16gb memory, 1 gb video and 1TB hard drive, editing videos on PP are jerky, plus the time to render, yesterday I got a ssd external from work usb3 and did a tes, it runs alot smoother.
My Q: got the chance to get an internal 1tb ssd drive sata under $300 should i use it as a slave or mirrow my old drive and use it as my main? hope I can get a 16gb single memory to run in 24, wich is the best way to improve my editing with this set up.
Ps I just got me a mavic for small jobs so a brand new PC is Divorce!
Thank
Mariano

The conventional wisdom has always been to get your video data off of your operating system drive. In your scenario, I would live my regular HD the way it is and add the SSD internally as your video footage drive. You will see the same or better performance increases than you did with an external SSD connected via USB 3. RAM is helpful as is a video card with more than 1GB of ram on it.
