Osmo base prepared for power supply?

Just received the new base for the Osmo. Happy with it as I can now place the Osmo with phone holder on the table without holding it.

Also I noticed there is room for a cable running to the battery compartment of the Osmo. Maybe DJI is planning a permanent power supply? Which would be great as it would not limit your timelapse to one battery length.

Looks indeed like it could be for a cable that goes to one of those "fake batteries"... however it will probably only work with the Osmo 2 since the battery door isn't removeable on the current one

Actually it is quite easy to remove the battery door. With a small screwdriver you can push the hinge rod to the right and off it comes Only thing to watch out for is the small spring that is attached.
